Pressed Fresh.
100% Apples.
Up to 100,000 gallons a day, pressed in Michigan apple country. Zero added water. Zero added sugar. Just apples, traceable back to the orchard.
What Makes Riveridge Cider Different
100% Apples.
No Shortcuts.
Our cider is just that — apples. No added water. No added sugar. Just fresh-pressed Michigan apples, batch after batch.
We press up to 100,000 gallons per day across two facilities in Grant and Comstock Park. Our 46,800 sq. ft. northern facility uses two bladder presses originally built for winemaking — a gentle squeeze that extracts flavor from the apple flesh while minimizing extraction from skins and stems.
The result is cider with the depth, balance, and clean finish that retailers and consumers expect from the Riveridge label.
From Orchard to Bottle
How Riveridge Cider Is Made
Every batch of Riveridge cider follows the same path — from quality inspection at the orchard door to refrigerated pallet ready to ship.
Inspect & Wash
Apples arrive from our grower network and are inspected for quality, then thoroughly washed before processing.
Press
Apples are ground, blended with food-grade rice hulls to improve juice flow, then gently pressed in our bladder presses.
Filter & Blend
Pressed juice is filtered, then blended for consistency. Customer-specific flavors or preservatives are added at this stage.
Pasteurize & Pack
Cider is pasteurized, screened, bottled, palletized, and racked in our cooler — ready for loading and full traceability.
In-House Lab & Quality Control
Quality You Can Taste.
Our dedicated on-site lab ensures consistency in every batch. We monitor key measurements like Brix and pH, evaluate varietal blends for best taste, and perform critical food safety testing — including screening for patulin and other potential risks.
When we create blends, flavors are mixed precisely. The result is a product that performs the same on shelf in October as it does in March.
Every bottle is fully traceable back to the orchard.
Varietals & Flavored Ciders
Four Ciders. One Promise.
From classic 100% apple cider to seasonal favorites, every Riveridge cider starts with the same fresh-pressed Michigan apples — no shortcuts.
Blend (OG)
Our original. 100% apple cider with a clean, balanced flavor — perfect for sipping straight, mulling, or building cocktails.
Honeycrisp
Sweet, crisp, with a hint of honey. The most-anticipated apple of the last generation, fresh-pressed.
Salted Caramel
Cider plus buttery caramel and sea salt. A trending pairing turned cult favorite.
Pumpkin Spice
Cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves layered over fresh-pressed cider. Fall, doubled.
What’s in our flavored ciders? Our flavoring provider uses proprietary blends. Dominant spices: Pumpkin Spice uses cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Salted Caramel uses cloves and maple.

B2B Partnerships
For Hard Cider Makers.
Whether you’re a national brand or a basement tinkerer, we have options to support your cider-making process.
Our lab can measure specific attributes or send out microbiological samples to provide the details you need to build the product you envision.
We offer preservative-free cider in tankers and totes. We can also work with your local grocer to set aside a pallet — or even just a few gallons — depending on what you need.
Cider FAQ
Cider questions, answered.
The questions retailers, hard cider makers, and consumers ask most.
Do you add water or sugar to your cider?
No. Apples are naturally sweet, so we don’t add sugar. Some varietals — like Honeycrisp — may taste even sweeter on their own. And depending on weather and harvest conditions, some seasons naturally produce sweeter apples overall.
Why do you add rice hulls, and will I taste them?
When apples are crushed, the pomace can become very dense — almost paste-like. Rice hulls improve juice flow during pressing and reduce the need for extreme pressure, which can increase sediment in the final product.
Rice hulls are insoluble and flavor-neutral, so they don’t contribute sugar, tannin, aroma, or nutrients in any meaningful way — and you will not taste them.
Is your cider gluten-free? Allergy-friendly?
Our original Blend is the most neutral option, made with only apples. However, rice hulls are used in the pressing process. If you have a rice sensitivity, please keep that in mind.
For flavored ciders, please reference the ingredient list if you have allergies to cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, or maple.
Is your cider pasteurized?
Yes. All Riveridge cider is pasteurized as part of our standard process, which makes it shelf-stable through its labeled date and safe for sensitive populations.
What's the difference between cider with and without preservatives?
We offer cider with one preservative, two preservatives, or preservative-free, depending on the program. Preservatives extend shelf life and stability for retail distribution. Preservative-free cider is most common for hard cider makers and ingredient buyers, where downstream processing handles preservation.
Are your seasonal flavors available year-round?
Salted Caramel and Pumpkin Spice are seasonal — typically pressed and shipped through fall and winter. Our Blend (OG) and Honeycrisp ciders are available year-round.
How should I store cider, and how long does it last?
Store cider refrigerated and unopened until ready to use. Once opened, drink within 7–10 days for best flavor. Always check the date printed on the bottle for the most accurate guidance.
Where can I buy Riveridge cider?
Look for Riveridge cider at Meijer, Kroger, Costco, Walmart, and additional Midwest grocery chains in season. Our full cider locator is launching soon.
