Who We Are

Great produce starts with great people.

What began in 1990 as a sales desk for a small group of growers has grown into a leading fresh produce organization. Today, Riveridge markets fruit and vegetables from more than 150 family farms while operating across growing, packing, processing and marketing.

From apples and sweet cherries to peaches, prune plums and fresh apple cider, along with Midwest vegetables, everything we do is guided by one simple belief. The fruit is only as good as the people who grow it.

More Than a Marketer

We are not just a produce company.

By staying vertically integrated, from orchard to packing facility to processing plant, we keep control over quality, food safety, innovation and service. That lets us move fast, invest in new technology and deliver dependable supply all season.

Growers

We farm our own ground and represent more than 150 family farms across six regions.

Packers

Ten packing and storage facilities, most of them owned by the growers themselves.

Cider Makers

Two pressing facilities turning out up to 100,000 gallons a day.

Problem Solvers

Programs, packaging and planning built around what each customer actually needs.

Powered by Family Farms

Behind every label is a family.

Many of the orchards we represent have been farming for generations, combining decades of experience with modern growing practices. Their names may not appear on every package, but their work is in every apple picked, every cherry harvested and every load shipped.

Together, our grower network represents more than half of Michigan’s fresh apple crop while continuing to expand opportunities for other Midwest produce.

These partnerships are not contracts. They are relationships built over decades.

Why We Are Different

Still family-owned.

Farms and produce marketing organizations across the country are being acquired by private-equity firms. Riveridge remains family-owned.

Our experience, commitment and long-term vision help us navigate the challenges that come with operating an agribusiness season after season. We answer to grower families and to the retailers who count on us, which is why we still support regional grocers and independents alongside national accounts. When a smaller retailer needs a program that works at their volume, we build it.

Where We Grow

Some of the best fruit ground on earth.

Our home is West Michigan’s famed Fruit Ridge, where fertile soil, abundant water, elevation and the moderating influence of Lake Michigan create ideal conditions. Warm summer days, cool nights and a long season develop outstanding flavor, color and texture.

That Great Lakes influence reaches beyond our home base. We work with growers in Wisconsin, New York and New England, all with a very similar growing climate, one that makes the most flavorful fruit.

Innovation

Adapting is the job.

Riveridge invests continually in new orchard systems, precision agriculture, advanced packing technology and modern food safety practices, so our growers stay competitive and our customers get the consistency they expect.

From AI-assisted optical sorting and internal quality detection to controlled atmosphere storage and traceability systems, technology helps every shipment meet the standard. Innovation does not replace experience. It strengthens it.

Stewardship

Caring for what comes next.

Across our growing regions, growers invest in practices that support long-term sustainability, from integrated pest management and pollinator habitat to efficient water use, responsible land stewardship and continuous improvement.

Just as important are the people who make every harvest possible. We are committed to safe workplaces, investment in our facilities and support for the employees and communities that help our farms thrive season after season.

Built for Our Customers

Our goal is not to sell fruit.

It is to help our customers succeed. Whether we are supplying a national retailer, regional grocer, wholesaler or food service distributor, Riveridge delivers more than produce.

We provide reliable programs, marketing support, flexible packaging, year-round planning and responsive service backed by decades of industry experience.

Looking Ahead

Growing what comes next.

Agriculture never stands still and neither do we. As new varieties emerge, consumer preferences evolve and technology advances, Riveridge stays focused on creating opportunities for growers while delivering exceptional products to every customer.

We are proud of where we came from. We are more excited about where we are growing next.
